Carl Ashcroft

Carl
deals with a wide range of matters in Personal &
Family Law.
He
has previously specialised in criminal work, both for the defence
and prosecution. He also has extensive experience acting in
personal injury and medical negligence matters, both for plaintiffs
and defendants and has worked on several high profile cases
managing several £1,000,000 medical negligence cases, several
personal injury cases settling at over £300,000, and an appeal to
the Privy Council on a catastrophic birth injury
case.
He
also assists Advocate Dionne Gilbert in
her role as Acting Batonnier administering the legal aid scheme in
Jersey.
Carl
is an English barrister (non-practising) and was called to the Bar
in 1990. He has previously worked as a computer programmer and
served as a Police Officer in the States of Jersey
Police.
