Wayne Atkinson
Senior Associate
Wayne is a Senior Associate with broad
experience in a number of different areas of commercial work, in
particular in the areas of investment funds and financial services
as well as general commercial matters.
Since his arrival in Guernsey Wayne
has acted on a number of significant fund launches including the
establishment of complex PCC-based platform structures as well as
advising a range of financial services businesses on risk and
regulatory matters.
Wayne has advised both company boards
and activist shareholders in relation to contentious general
meetings and associated issues arising out of investor actions.
Wayne regularly speaks at seminars and conferences in relation to
company law and fund matters, directors' obligations and regulatory
issues.
Prior to joining Collas Crill in 2009, Wayne trained and
qualified as a corporate lawyer with Herbert Smith in London
working primarily in the firm's investment funds and regulatory
team. Following this he moved to the British Virgin Islands where
he worked for Walkers on a range of investment funds and general
corporate transactions.
