Alison Brown
Senior Associate
Alison is a senior member of the Personal & Family
Law team with particular experience in child-related
cases.
Since joining the firm in 2004, Alison has focused entirely on
family law, from divorce and financial settlements to disputes
relating to children (including removal of children from the
jurisdiction and care proceedings), to injunctions. She has a
special interest in child-related cases including residence,
contact and care proceedings and has a wealth of experience
representing children, with or without a guardian appointed by the
court, and in privately and publicly brought cases.
Alison qualified as an English solicitor and was admitted
to the Roll of the English Law Society in 1981. She is a member of
the Jersey Family Law Association and in her own working practice
subscribes to the ethos of the Association, which is to help
families resolve difficulties in a non-confrontational way wherever
possible. She is also a member of the UK equivalent organisation,
Resolution, formerly called the Solicitors' Family Law
Association.
