
Sean Cheong

Sean is currently seconded to run the
Singapore office.
Sean is a Partner specialising in
regulatory and financial services, namely banking and
investment funds, the establishment of special purpose structures
for offshore investments. Her principal clients include
leading banking institutions in Guernsey, investment banks in the
UK and Continental Europe and fund administrators. Sean is
recognised for her abilities in controlling and driving complex
banking and investment fund transactions.
Chambers 2012 comments that Sean is
'really sharp' and previously they recognised Sean as
being 'good at getting to the heart of matters and proactive in her
advice' and she was noted as 'particularly thorough and has a fine
eye for detail in the drawing up of agreements'. Legal 500 2009
described Sean as the 'favoured lawyer for transactions on the
island'.
Sean has been a partner at Collas Crill since since 2001. She was
called to the Guernsey Bar 1997, having previously been called to
the Malaysian Bar (1990) and English Bar (1989). She speaks
regularly at conferences in Guernsey, London and the Far East
on funds and the use of Guernsey structures for private wealth
management. Sean is a member of the Guernsey Branch of the
Institute of Directors and the Securities & Investment
Institute. She holds a certificate in Islamic Finance from the
SII.
