talented people by providing a challenging and stimulating
environment, that recognises the value of everyone's contribution.
We offer a wide range of career opportunities within our Jersey
and Guernsey offices. Whether a lawyer working in our
Commercial team, a Legal secretary within Dispute Resolution or a
member of our Accounts team, everyone plays an important part in
Collas Crill's success.
We recruit talented individuals with a balance of relevant
experience, appropriate qualifications and proven academic
achievement.
We set high standards for all our employees, from lawyers to
support staff, and we look to reward performance.
Lawyers and paralegals

Trainee lawyers (Barristers/Solicitors)
Collas Crill is accredited by the Solicitors' Regulation
Authority to provide Training Contracts for Trainee
Solicitors.
Ideally we expect trainees to have obtained a 2:1 degree or the
equivalent and to have completed, or be due to complete their Legal
Practice Course. Applicants must be residentially
qualified.
In addition to the academic side, we expect trainees to display
the same qualities as anyone we recruit - a willingness to work
hard and be a good team player, display good communication skills
and to have a 'can do' attitude. It's also important to
display a creative and commercially focused mind.
As a trainee you will be supported by a partner or other senior
associate throughout your contract. You will be encouraged to have
as much 'hands on' experience as you can and will be given direct
client contact as soon as possible.
Your contract will involve you in placements within at least
three different departments, and through our links within the City,
the possibility of a secondment to a top flight London law
firm.
You will also take an active role in the firm, in areas such as
marketing and business development opportunities, or possibly
updating colleagues on forthcoming changes to the law.
Although we are happy to consider applications for trainees at
any time, it is best that this is done during the final year of
your degree course.
