Adrian Odell

Adrian is an offshore funds lawyer who has specialised in this
area for more than a decade. His practice has also given him
a broad background in offshore corporate and commercial law,
particularly in the context of trust company business, investment
business, fund services business and investment structures.
He has worked extensively with household name and boutique
investment managers, administrators, trust companies, banks,
custodians and prime brokers located globally.
Adrian's practice covers both listed and unlisted retail funds
and alternative investment funds such as private equity, venture
capital, property funds and hedge funds. He contributed to
the development of the groundbreaking Expert Fund policy in Jersey,
and recently developed the concept of Platform Funds in Jersey, an
umbrella fund type structure facilitating the cost effective
formation of both regulated and unregulated funds
Adrian is admitted as an English Solicitor, Attorney-at-Law in
the Cayman Islands, Solicitor in the British Virgin Islands and an
Attorney in South Africa (non-practising). He has worked in leading
offshore law firms in Jersey, the Cayman Islands, British Virgin
Islands and Isle of Man, as well as onshore in the largest law firm
in South Africa.
He regularly speaks at fund
events and promotes Jersey and Collas
Crill internationally.
Business development initiatives led by Adrian have resulted in
travel to North America, Europe and Asia, as well as offshore
Islands. He also served as one of the first directors of a
Jersey based law-firm's financial services and trust company
business established in Mauritius, and has been involved in
business development initiatives in Collas Crill's office in
Singapore.
