Senior Associate
Emma is a Senior Associate with
extensive experience in all aspects of general and commercial
litigation including employment disputes, shareholder disputes,
contractual disputes, contentious property issues, and professional
negligence matters, trusts disputes, and various employment related
matters. Additionally, she has experience in various marine
related issues such as carriage of goods claims, damage and/or loss
to cargo, plus matters involving the Warsaw and Montreal
Conventions.
Her particular area of responsibility
is in the firm's Employment law service where she focuses on a
day-to-day basis (particularly on the marketing of the practice).
She also has considerable advocacy experience having
appeared before various UK Courts, employment tribunals and
employment appeal tribunals, mediations and arbitrations.
Having qualified as a Solicitor of The
Supreme Court of England & Wales in 2003, she has since worked
for Shoosmiths, one of the largest national UK firms, Ozannes
(2003-2006) in Guernsey and more recently, Kensington Swan (2006
-2010), one of the top two law firms in New Zealand. She returned
to Guernsey in 2010 to join the firm. Emma is a member of the Law
Society of England & Wales
