
Jason Romer
Managing Partner
Jason is a Partner and member of the Management
Board. He also acts as the Managing Partner of the Guernsey
office.
Jason has a broad corporate and
commercial experience with a particular emphasis on intellectual
property, utility regulation, e-commerce, e-gaming and
IT. He has advised a wide range of Guernsey companies. He is
a leading expert in Utilities and Intellectual Property law, as
well as becoming increasingly influential in alternative energy and
corporate transactions with a high level of regulatory content.
Chambers 2012 comments that Jason is 'a proactive, high-quality
lawyer.' Jason is noted for his sharp intellect, rapid output and
tenacious negotiating style with Chambers previously citing one of
his clients: 'He is effective in cutting to the key issues of a
transaction, managing the timetable and getting us to completion.'
Legal 500 2010 described Jason as 'very good technically', and was
previously noted as 'one of the island's thought leaders in
IP'.
He has been a partner since 2007 and a member of the Management
Board since 2008. He has been the Managing Partner of the Guernsey
office since the formation of Collas Crill and was heavily involved
in the merger process. Jason was called to the Guernsey Bar 2007.
Prior to joining the firm in 2005, Jason was Director, Legal and
Regulatory Affairs at C&W Guernsey from 2003 to 2005. Prior to
moving to Guernsey, Jason worked at Linklaters (1998-2003) where he
also completed his training contract.
