
Joanne Seal
Senior Associate
Joanne is a Senior Associate and Head
of Wills and Estates in Guernsey. She regularly acts and advises
upon issues relating to inheritance, probate and intestacy. Joanne
has a wide range of experience in family and matrimonial matters.
She regularly negotiates and advises upon complex financial
settlements dealing with high net worth matrimonial and family
matters and deals with all aspects of a relationship breakdown. In
addition Joanne is heavily involved in the organisation and running
of Collas Crill's Moot Programme which is held annually to
encourage secondary school students to develop their public
speaking and confidence skills whilst introducing them to careers
in law.
In 2010 Joanne was named by Private
Client Practitioner as one of the Top 35 Under 35 Private Client
Practitioners which each year invites nominations from the UK,
Channel Islands and other offshore jurisdictions for upcoming
professionals within private client advisory professions, including
lawyers, accountants, trustees and other professionals. Jo has
recently undertaken matters concerning divorce petitions based
upon desertion and cases involving complicated jurisdictional
issues and multi home/directorship matters.
After studying at the Inns of Court in
London Joanne joined the firm in 2003 shortly after being called to
the Bar of England and Wales in 2003.
