Alison is experienced in Jersey property law and conveyancing, specialising in residential conveyancing, freehold/flying freehold purchases and sales, equity agreements, mortgages and re-financing. Her role includes drafting contracts/agreements, title researches and boundary checks, site visits, advising on and witnessing loan security documents, meeting and advising clients and attending Court.
Alison is an English Solicitor and joined Collas Crill in June 2018, having worked for 12 years in private client work and conveyancing. She recently worked for three years as an Assistant Legal Advisor in the Law Officers' Department, where her role included assisting with work related to the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry, with the prosecution and sentencing of Royal Court cases, and working as Assistant Legal Advisor to the Attorney General.
Alison qualified as a Solicitor in London where she worked as a media lawyer with Associated Newspapers before returning to Jersey. She had previously worked as a Government Information Officer, including for the Crown Prosecution Service where she began her legal training, and as a journalist.
She is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales, has a post graduate diploma in law from BPP Law School/Nottingham Trent University, a post graduate diploma in journalism from The City University and a degree in English/Philosophy – Exeter University.
