Gurprit is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution department of Collas Crill BVI. She advises and represents clients in all commercial and company disputes, including banking and finance matters, shareholder disputes, contentious trusts, insolvency, fraud and regulatory matters.
Prior to joining Collas Crill, Gurprit practised at the Bar of England and Wales as a barrister at 9 Stone Buildings, Lincolns’ Inn, where she is now a door tenant. Her practice encompassed financial services litigation, regulatory work, and general commercial litigation. She assisted companies and individuals in company law disputes, insolvency, and contract matters. Gurprit was seconded to the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and has substantial experience of FSMA 2000. She also worked with a major bank on regulator matters. Gurprit is an experienced advocate and has represented clients in complex commercial matters, complex fraud and public law disputes.
Gurprit has gained working experience as a lawyer in Hong Kong, working in law firms and at the HK Arbitration Centre as a Pegasus Scholar. She has also worked in the Isle of Man.
Gurprit studied law at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, and Kings College, London. She has also obtained a Diploma in International Corporate Governance, Risk & Compliance. She is a member of the International Bar Association, Chancery Bar Association, and the Financial Services Lawyers Association.
Gurprit is a trained Hampel Method Advocacy Tutor and has taught at both Lincoln’s Inn and BPP, London.
