Daian is a Senior Associate within the Dispute Resolution team in the firm's Jersey office.
Prior to joining the Collas Crill , Daian was admitted to practice as a barrister of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court and worked for two law firms in the British Virgin Islands. Before relocating to the BVI in 2016, Daian was a barrister at a leading set of Chambers in England where she had a strong commercial and chancery practice and acted as a mediator in a number of civil and commercial disputes.
Daian has considerable experience of corporate and commercial litigation including domestic and cross-border insolvency, shareholder disputes, trust litigation, asset tracing, enforcing foreign arbitration awards and judgments, and seeking injunctive relief including on an emergency basis. She has appeared in the BVI Commercial Court and High Court, and at various levels in the courts of England and Wales.
During her time in the BVI, Daian wrote a number of articles and contributed to several book chapters on BVI law. Prior to qualifying as a barrister she was a university lecturer and taught law at undergraduate and postgraduate level in a number of higher education institutions, including the Hong Kong University's School of Professional and Continuing Education. She has prepared and delivered a number of talks on her areas of expertise. Daian has a particular interest in cross-border insolvency and asset tracing.
