Collas Crill raises more than £2k for Guernsey Chest and Heart

Staff at Collas Crill in Guernsey have raised £2,100 for Guernsey Chest and Heart LGB.

The firm selected the organisation as its charity of choice.

Led by the firm's Health and Wellbeing Committees, staff in each of the offices of the law firm select a local charity they would like to support in that jurisdiction. Activities are then organised and staff are asked to make a donation to take part to raise funds for that charity.

Staff in Guernsey enjoyed a range of fun activities while also raising funds for Guernsey Chest and Heart.

This included boxfit classes, cupcakes, a pizza making competition, sunrise yoga at Cambridge park, raffles at staff social events and a total of 140 massages were given by Maria of Breathe Massage to staff over the course of the year.

Guernsey Chest and Heart was nominated by several Collas Crill staff members. One of them was Partner Paul Nettleship who is a Director of the charity.

'My thanks to all who voted in support of GC&H. The charity's purpose is to identify and reduce circulatory and respiratory diseases in the Bailiwick. This is done by providing free health screening services to Bailiwick residents. The annual costs exceed £100,000 and we are funded solely by charitable donations. Collas Crill's donation will help ensure that this important public service can continue to be provided,' he said.

He is pictured handing the cheque to to Debbie Pittman of Guernsey GC&H.

Free health screenings can be booked by calling 237261 or emailing info@chestandheart.org.gg. For more information visit click here.
