Nuno Santos-Costa is joint Senior
Partner and the Channel Island head of Dispute Resolution for
Collas Crill.
Nuno specialises in all aspects of
commercial litigation, including trust cases, fraud and asset
tracing claims and heavyweight commercial disputes. He has appeared
in many substantial Jersey cases including acting as senior Jersey
counsel for the first defendant in the Alhamrani trusts litigation,
Jersey's biggest ever litigation dispute.
Nuno is also a Crown Advocate and has
appeared in numerous high-profile criminal cases on behalf of the
Attorney General. He was appointed a relief magistrate in 2009.
The Legal 500 2011 says Nuno has 'a
can-do attitude'. In 2010 they described Nuno as an 'efficient
and impressive advocate'. Chambers 2012 says Nuno 'is a very
experienced courtroom lawyer and is good at what he
does'. Previously they said he was 'an experienced
lawyer with the broad shoulders needed to take on the heaviest
cases'.
Nuno qualified as an English barrister in 1984 and as an
advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey in 1992. He is a member of
COMBAR (the Commercial Bar Association) and the Fraud Network. He
is a door tenant at 4-5 Gray's Inn Square, a set of barristers'
chambers in London. Nuno is also a member of the Law Society
Disciplinary Panel both in Jersey and in Guernsey.
