Collas Crill in the pink for breast cancer charities in the Cayman Islands

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month staff at Collas Crill have supported a number of initiatives across the Cayman Islands.

At the end of November the firm hosted a winter wonderland-themed evening at Union in Camana Bay, bringing colleagues and clients together in support of the Cayman Islands Breast Cancer Foundation.

In October Collas Crill once again proudly sponsored the 19th annual Pilates for Pink fundraiser, supporting the Cayman Islands Cancer Society.

Hundreds of participants joined ENERGY Pilates for a high-energy, all-levels mat workout, complete with a Pre-Pink Party, photo booth, prize giveaways, and the popular Plank Challenge.

Collas Crill also contributed bag donations and joined the community to take part in the annual Brenda Tibbetts-Lund Memorial 5K Walk at Seven Mile Public Beach.

This October tradition forms part of the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign and honours Brenda Tibbetts-Lund’s legacy's in raising funds for mammogram screenings and women’s health initiatives across the Cayman Islands.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month was rounded off at Collas Crill's Cricket Square office with 'dress for pink day' where staff united by wearing pink and raising more funds.

Partner Rocco Cecere, who heads up the litigation and dispute resolution team in the Cayman Islands, said: 'For many years Collas Crill has supported breast cancer awareness campaigns and charities through many different activities and sponsorships. Our winter wonderland evening was the grand finale of this year's efforts.'

Cayman Islands Managing Partner Gina Berry said: 'As a law firm we’re proud of the exceptional work we do for our clients, but equally proud of the work we do in our community – it's a huge part of our identity. From Pilates for Pink and our annual casino-themed fundraiser, to the Brenda Tibbetts-Lund Walk/Run—which, as a Lions Club member, is particularly close to my heart - our team shows up, pink shirts and all, with generosity and spirit.

'As we celebrate ten years in the Cayman Islands, we’ve tried to give back as much as we’ve grown. I like to think that our 'pink connection' shows who we are: a firm that takes its work seriously, but never forgets to stand with our community.'
