Collas Crill involved in the sale of historic freeholds

Collas Crill was involved in the sale of the freeholds of 59 and 61 The Pollet, St Peter Port, Guernsey by their longstanding client, Walter Property Limited to Randalls, one of Guernsey’s longest-established hospitality businesses.

The Walter family had owned the two buildings for the past century, with the properties last changing hands in the 1920s when William Walter bought them.

Walter Property Limited sold them to Randalls, for an undisclosed sum, so that hospitality company now owns both the buildings and the businesses they are home to.

Collas Crill's leading tier one real estate team, led by senior partner Jason Green, oversaw the conveyancing transaction for Walter Property.

Jason said: 'Having worked with Walter Property for many years and having been involved in the drafting of numerous legal documents for the company, including the leases of these premises, it was good to be involved in the company securing a solid purchaser and realising the sale. It was possibly tinged with sadness, given the properties were part of the original portfolio acquired by William Walter many many years ago.'
