With a decade of experience in the British Virgin Islands Financial Services sector, Aqueelah architects compliance frameworks that balance business agility with the highest standards of legal and regulatory adherence.
Aqueelah joined Collas Crill in July 2025 from SHRM Trustees (BVI) Limited where she led the implementation of risk-based compliance reviews and regulatory filings, managed ongoing engagement with BVI Financial Services Commission and external auditors and developed training programs on AML/CFT and client onboarding procedures.
Her leadership has driven enhancements in anti-money laundering controls, corporate governance frameworks, and risk management processes.
Aqueelah is a Chevening Scholar (2022) who obtained her Bachelors of Laws from Newcastle University (2017-2020).
She is pursuing her LLM Bar Vocational Studies at City University, London (2022-present). She is also ACAMS (Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists) certified and Member of the International Compliance Association (ICA).
