Sandra Lawrence

Executive Director at Collas Crill Compliance | Guernsey

  • Sandra’s knowledge, enthusiasm and efficiency is unique. With excellent communication and organisation skills, she takes the utmost care and time to understand our needs. I am beyond confident she will continue to add tremendous value to our business

Sandra joined Collas Crill Compliance in November 2019, to establish the business.

Her role entails governance, risk, compliance ('GRC') and anti-money laundering advisory work, as well as project work and acting in a named role capacity for certain clients.

Sandra specialises in designing GRC frameworks, and assisting both regulated and non-regulated firms to manage their risk framework environment in an efficient and effective manner.

"I am sincerely passionate about my profession, and believe that comes through in my working style. I pride myself on being a calm, proactive and commercial GRC practitioner, with the ability to see the wider picture. I enjoy the journey of taking individuals through what may feel like an overly complex matter, and working with them to develop a user-friendly solution."

She has implemented GRC frameworks for complex businesses, working closely with boards in developing their strategy and business plans to inform the GRC framework, and in a way which allows Directors and Senior Management to focus their attention and resources appropriately.

Sandra has worked in the Guernsey financial services industry for over 23 years, often dealing with other jurisdictions, and for the most part dealing with regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering.  Prior to joining Collas Crill Compliance, Sandra was  a Director at local trust, corporate and fund administration company.

Sandra is a Fellow and Chartered Professional with the International Compliance Association ('ICA'), holds the ICA’s Diploma in Compliance, and the Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance.  She holds a Masters Degree in Law, Governance, Risk and Compliance and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
