Collas Crill's corporate and commercial practice continues to grow

Collas Crill has hired experienced corporate lawyer Kathryn Smith as a senior associate, as the firm continues to expand its corporate and commercial offering.

Based in the firm's Singapore office, Kathryn will focus on investment funds, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, reorganisations and capital markets. Kathryn has strong expertise in advising Asian clients on the formation and ongoing legal obligations of Cayman Islands private equity and hedge funds.

Having completed her training at Hammonds LLP (now Squire Patton Boggs), Kathryn qualified as a solicitor in 2007. She worked in the UK for several years before joining international law firm Maples and Calder, primarily based in Hong Kong.

Group partner in Singapore, Leon Santos, said: "Kathryn is a valuable addition to the firm, not only to our Singapore office but also to our expanding corporate and commercial teams across all of our jurisdictions.

"As well as bringing a high level of knowledge and expertise, Kathryn also brings a great deal of enthusiasm and commitment to her role here at Collas Crill."

Collas Crill opened its office in Singapore in 2011, the first Channel Islands firm to do so.
