Guernsey Employment Permit Policy update

Yesterday the Guernsey Population Management updated the Employment Permit Policy.

As a direct result of the efforts of the Population Employment Advisory Panel working with industry, the permit parameters directly linked to 'Accountancy' have been updated to reflect industry requirements.

Junior to mid-level accountants on a pathway to a senior role are now eligible to apply for a long term employment permit. This is a change from those at junior levels only being able to apply for medium term permits making succession planning difficult.

This demonstrates the ease with which the new law can be adjusted to reflect market need.
