What is MAD?
MAD is the in-house charitable face of Collas Crill in Guernsey. It offers employees the chance to create, organise, assist with and participate in charitable activities throughout the year aimed at helping charities and initiatives based or active in the Bailiwick.
In 2016 staff voted for the Guernsey Alzheimer's Association to benefit from MAD's fundraising efforts. It is a small local charity with an extremely friendly and hard working committee that provide invaluable support to those living with, or are close to someone who has been diagnosed with, alzheimer's disease. In addition, the MAD Committee decided that the monthly 'mufti' bucket shake collection should be reserved for charities nominated by staff.
Throughout the year, the MAD Committee members wracked their brains and rolled up their sleeves to deliver a wide variety of events for staff to enjoy while making a worthwhile contribution to charity.
There is no doubt that it would not have been another successful year without the participation and enthusiasm of all staff at Collas Crill, Guernsey. We cannot thank them enough for their support!

MAD was also able to:
- Support the Guernsey Alzheimer's Association by helping to serve up lunch at their monthly Alzheimer's community lunches, shaking buckets on their flag day and taking part in their tower to tower fundraising walk.
- Take part in the Le Murier School Everest Challenge raising £100.00 for the school.
- Support the 9 strong CC team, bedecked in fabulously branded swimwear, by ensuring that the two teams gracefully entered the race in a coordinated splash. The team raised over £500 to go to local charities.
