Collas Crill associate Julie Harrigan will be on the panel at the first Lexis Nexis Forum of 2017 organised by Private Client Dining Club.
Focusing on estate planning, Julie will be joined by Peter Daniel, partner at Collyer Bristow, Lee Clark, divisional director of financial planning from Brewin Dolphin and Mark Williams, head of strategic partnerships at Octopus Investments.
Taking place on Thursday 27 April, areas of discussion will include succession planning and testamentary freedom, focusing on the Ilott -v- Mitson (2015) case, opportunities for estate planning using business property relief, tax efficient charitable giving and philanthropy as well as strategies to protect the next generation who will inherit substantial wealth.
Attendees will include professional advisors to HNW clients in private banking, wealth management, tax, law, property and insurance practitioners.
Julie, who specialises in all aspects of succession law and advises on, and drafts, wills for local and non-local clients, as well as HNW individuals, has day-to-day responsibility for the wills and estates team at Collas Crill in Jersey.
