International Private Client and Trusts Counsel Andrew Peedom (TEP) has been invited to speak on day two of the conference, which will be held on Friday 20th January.
He will speak alongside John Machell KC and Philippa Stokes TEP, R&H Trust and Corporate.
Their talk "Dealing with insolvent trusts and wasting assets" will ask: does a former trustee have a proprietary right to the trust assets with respect to its cost in proceedings relating to a trust? The panel will consider the nature of a trustee's right of indemnity - particularly where trust liabilities exceed the value of trust assets - and discuss what trustees need to consider in light of a recent decision of the Privy Council.
