Petitioner signs divorce petition

 

Petitioner sends divorce papers to Court and sends copy to respondent and co-respondent (adultery petitions only)

Within 14 days of receipt, respondent sends to petitioner's advocate Acknowledgment of Service and affidavit to confirm adultery, if relevant

 

Respondent may also file at the Greffe Memorandum of Appearance if he wishes to be heard on any issues.

A minimum of 60 days after the petition is filed at Court, the petitioner applies to the Court for Provisional Order of divorce

Hearing of Provisional Order before the Royal Court - neither party required to attend

5

Final Order granted 32 days after Provisional Order
