Collas Crill appoints new partner to growing team

Collas Crill Jersey has appointed Matthew Gilley as a partner in its corporate, finance and funds department, following a period of sustained growth for the team.

Specialising in financing transactions for international banks, Matthew acts for a wide range of Jersey, UK and European financial institutions and senior and mezzanine lenders. He has particular expertise in the financing and structuring of commercial real estate transactions and loan portfolio sales and acquisitions as well as fund finance and general banking transactions.

Matthew also works on a broad range of corporate transactions, including establishing investment vehicles, particularly Jersey property unit trusts, to acquire a range of assets including real estate, private M&A, group reorganisations and advising listed clients on general company law and corporate governance matters. He also advises high net worth individuals and family offices on the reorganisation and re-domiciliation of multi-jurisdictional holding structures as well as philanthropic transactions.

Matthew is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales and an Advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey.

The appointment reflects the firm's growth plans, which continue to be underpinned by Collas Crill’s commitment to excellent client service.
