Collas Crill assists with Queen's Road Medical Practice acquisition in Guernsey

Collas Crill's Property team has advised Queen's Road Medical Practice on its recent acquisition of Grange Road House in Guernsey.

The property occupies a prominent site on The Grange and was originally built as a private residence. It went on to house The Ladies' College until the 1960s. Over subsequent years, the site was occupied by a number of departments of the States of Guernsey until it was vacated and offered for sale in 2020.

A major programme of works is planned to convert, enhance and alter the property into a state-of-the-art medical centre with pharmacy and separate apartments. Once complete, the facility will serve as the practice's new base of operations, alongside its existing premises at the Longfrie.

Collas Crill Partner Jason Green, who advised on the transaction with support from Associate Harry Round, commented: 'We are pleased to have been able to assist the practice with this exciting acquisition and very much look forward to seeing the progression of this project.'

Will Pierce, Chief Executive Officer of Queen's Road Medical Practice, said: 'We have been searching for a suitable location for several years as we are outgrowing our current site. We are very pleased to have bought such a landmark building from the States which will enable us to create a great environment for patients to visit and our staff to work from.'
