Collas Crill's Angela Calnan named in Citywealth Power Women list

Collas Crill Group Partner Angela Calnan has been named in Citywealth's 2015 IFC Power Women Top 200 list.

The list recognises 200 of the most powerful women in government, private wealth, private client advisory and philanthropy across the international financial centres (IFCs).

Angela heads up the firm's multi-award winning Fiduciary practice group, which was named STEP Legal Team of the Year (midsize) 2015/16, and the Middle East Practice Group which continues to grow rapidly.

The endorsement of Angela, who is named in the Guernsey section of the list, reads: "She is a very talented, able and dedicated lawyer with a practical and efficient approach that commends itself to her many clients and her particular understanding of, and connections in, the Middle East are also much valued in the firm."

Trade publication Citywealth describes those included on its list as powerful women from diverse backgrounds who are trailblazers in their field, helping to promote business excellence in their home jurisdiction and consolidating the reputation of the financial services industry globally.

Collas Crill Group Managing Partner Jason Romer said: "Angela has been a driving force behind the success of our global Fiduciary and Middle East practices. She is an excellent lawyer with strong technical ability, appreciation of the needs of clients and international experience, coupled with a friendly, proactive manner and genuine passion for her work. For these qualities to have been recognised by Citywealth is a great tribute to the regard in which Angela is held by her peers, colleagues and clients."

The list is compiled from a number of sources including Citywealth research and recommendations from leading figures in the financial service industry.
