Dick-Stock v Pantrust & others

Collas Crill is acting for the settlor of some substantial Jersey trusts in litigation against the former trustees of those trusts. Having been removed as trustees in contested proceedings before the Royal Court of Jersey, at the instigation of the beneficiaries, the former trustee has alleged that the trusts are shams and have brought claims against the settlor and the beneficiaries for approximately $30m in loans they claim to be due to them personally, and also damages for conspiracy, amongst other things. The latter claims relate to the former trustee, Pantrust, having had its licence to conduct trust business revoked by the regulator in Panama. There are also related proceedings between the same parties and others ongoing in Denver, Colorado.
