Collas Crill assists with purchase of Southampton arts complex

Collas Crill has advised Harborne Holdings Limited with the purchase of an arts complex development within a new "cultural quarter" in Southampton.

The new complex comprises 38 residential units, seven retail units with cafes and restaurants totalling 20,000 sq ft and 63,000 sq ft of arts complex forming the centrepiece of Southampton's cultural quarter.

Collas Crill provided Guernsey law advice on the various documents involved and opinions for the benefit of the other parties on the enforceability of those documents and Harborne's capacity to enter into them.

The team comprised of group partner Paul Wilkes, who heads up the firm's commercial offering in Guernsey, associate Alex Wickens and trainee solicitor Jack Crisp.

Paul said: "It always feels rewarding to work on significant cultural developments which should give back to the community for years to come."
