Professional Support Lawyer sworn in as Jersey Advocate

Collas Crill Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) Michael Evans has been sworn in as a Jersey Advocate in the Royal Court.

As part of the first cohort of two swearing-in ceremonies for new qualifiers, Michael was one of five to be recognised on 5 December, following successful completion of the exams in June.

Michael joined Collas Crill in September as a PSL within the Knowledge Management team, bringing over 12 years experience from the UK, Middle East, Ireland and Jersey.

He qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales (currently non-practising) in March 2005, and in Ireland as a solicitor in the summer of 2014.

In the 2019 Legal 500 directory, he was ranked for his corporate and banking and finance work.

Director of Knowledge Management, Kate Stanfield said: 'Since joining us three months ago, Michael has made a real impact within the team and indeed the rest of the firm.

'He has already been instrumental in bringing value to our knowledge assets, updates and knowledge sharing across our jurisdictions. I look forward to developing differentiating Knowledge Management capabilities further with Michael in the next 12 months.

'It was a pleasure to be there to watch him be sworn in as a Jersey Advocate.'
