Collas Crill to host seminar on future business risks

Collas Crill will be hosting a complimentary seminar, 'When it hits the fan…', at the Old Government House Hotel on Thursday 15 October.

Directors, commercial managers and in-house legal support across all business sectors are invited to attend. The seminar will cover real-life war stories and lessons on how getting the basics right or wrong can greatly affect your future business risks both foreseeable and unforeseeable.

Sometimes it feels like we'll never know what life will throw at us next. Uncertainty in business, politics and the day-to-day is on the increase. Unforeseen outcomes and 1-in-a-100-year events test business continuity and documentation to the limit. When times are good, the little details don't always seem as important. You can probably give on that contract point, those corporate authorisations are probably good enough and you might not need to use that security anyway....but as Warren Buffet famously said: 'When the tide goes out, you discover who's been swimming naked.'

Hosted by Partners Paul Wilkes, Sean Cheong, Wayne Atkinson and Simon Heggs, the seminar will focus on:

  • Avoiding wriggle room and ensuring certainty in documentation;
  • The mistakes that can undo contracts; and
  • How to test your processes for unforeseeable challenges.
