Overview

Henriette is Head of Business Development for Collas Crill’s Global Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice. Based in the Cayman Islands, she works with partners and fee earners across the firm to drive client and practice growth, strengthen strategic relationships and identify new business opportunities across international markets, with a particular focus on the US and Asia.

Her role spans strategic business planning, client development, market intelligence and go-to-market initiatives. She advises practice leaders and fee earners on business development opportunities, client and target strategies, market positioning and campaigns, while identifying opportunities for collaboration and cross-selling across Collas Crill’s jurisdictions.

Henriette also develops and maintains relationships with clients, intermediaries and industry contacts, using market and client insight to help translate opportunities into focused business development activity.

Experience

Henriette brings more than 15 years of international experience across business development, strategic marketing, communications and change management, with particular experience in legal and financial services.

She combines commercial thinking with a strong background in relationship management, strategic communications and project delivery. Her experience includes developing and implementing business and marketing strategies, managing integrated campaigns, analysing markets and audiences, building stakeholder relationships and advising senior leaders.

Before joining Collas Crill in May 2023, Henriette held a number of senior communications and strategy roles with BMO Financial Group in Toronto. As Senior Manager, Strategic Communications & Planning, she led the transformation of key CEO communication channels, including communications supporting the bank’s response to COVID-19. Previously, she managed communications and change strategy supporting the launch of BMO’s Purpose.

Her earlier career spans marketing, communications and PR roles across insurance, education, technology and telecommunications, giving her a broad commercial perspective and an understanding of how organisations build their brands, engage their audiences and respond to changing markets.

Background

Originally from the Netherlands, Henriette spent six years living and working in Canada before relocating to the Cayman Islands with her husband and two children. Her international career has shaped her interest in different markets, cultures and approaches to building business relationships.

Henriette holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master’s degree in Communication Studies (MA).

Outside work, she enjoys travelling, snorkelling, jazz music, good food and wine, and exploring new places with her family.

"I enjoy connecting people, ideas and opportunities. For me, effective business development starts with understanding the client, knowing the market and building relationships that create long-term value."
