Collas Crill announces newly qualified lawyers and new trainees

Collas Crill continues its long-standing commitment to training and development within the firm, as it announces its newly qualified lawyers and latest cohort of trainees in the Channel Islands.

This year the firm welcomes six future lawyers, bringing the total number of trainee solicitors at Collas Crill to ten. Training contracts have been awarded to Jessica Bell, Edmund Carter, Alice Allen, Charles Brewin, Oceane Chandler and Oliver Terry who all join our Guernsey and Jersey offices this month.

Many of the 2022 cohort are familiar faces within the firm, having begun their journey with Collas Crill as bursary students, on work experience placements or as participants in the Collas Crill Moot.

Three lawyers have qualified as English Solicitors within the firm this year – Sophia Moustras and Paige Williams, both lawyers in the firm's 2020 training cohort, and Jazzmin Le Prevost who qualified through the new Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE), one of the first people to do so nationally via this route. All three lawyers become Associates within the firm this month.

Michael Morris, Partner and Training Principal at Collas Crill said: 'We are delighted to welcome all six new trainees to the firm, our largest trainee intake to date this year, and also to share in the success of Sophia, Paige and Jazzmin.

'Collas Crill was an early adopter of the SQE route to qualification and is running both the traditional training contract and the SQE route in conjunction this year. Each of our future trainees and new qualifiers have showcased their alignment with our values and I am sure they will be a huge asset to their teams and to the firm.'

Group Managing Partner Jason Romer said: 'Collas Crill has been training lawyers for more than 15 years and it is testament to the pedigree of our training programme that we have lawyers who trained with us at every level of the firm, from Associate through to Partner.

'We are the firm of choice for ambitious individuals who want to make a real difference and we actively seek out and retain the best legal talent for our clients.'
