Bonnie McPartland

Bonnie joined Collas Crill in 2016 and has since gained a breadth of experience in both non-contentious and contentious trust matters.  She enjoys good relationships with local trustees and onshore intermediaries alike, and advises on the establishment and lifecycle administration of Jersey trusts.

Experience

Bonnie was a pivotal member of the team that worked on a high-value contentious trust matter, which involved multi-jurisdictional, complex tax- and fiduciary-related issues.

She acted as the firm's Relationship Manager in Jersey between January 2022 and March 2023, working with clients to identify their needs and acting as their first point of contact and conduit, to ensure that we meet our clients' expectations and deliver our values and continued excellence.

During her time at Collas Crill, she has also been seconded to a private bank, giving her first-hand experience and awareness of commercial considerations. As such, Bonnie has a great insight into the workings of a business beyond pure law, such that she offers pragmatic advice and encapsulates our value of being 'easy to do business with' in her approach.

Background

Bonnie was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2011 and was awarded a Certificate of Honours in recognition of achieving the highest grade. She is a member of The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple.

Bonnie subsequently retrained as a solicitor and was admitted to the roll of England and Wales in 2018. Prior to joining Collas Crill, Bonnie worked at another leading offshore law firm in their Guernsey and London offices.

"I pride myself on being personable and paying attention to the detail, such that I hope it makes me easy to do business with."
