Overview

Bradley joined Collas Crill in November 2018 and is an Associate in the Insolvency and Corporate Disputes team.

"I adopt a robust yet reasoned approach to protecting and enhancing the interests of my clients, and maintain particular focus on going the extra mile to achieve the best possible outcome in the most cost-effective way."

Experience

Since joining the team Bradley has assisted and advised on a number of high profile matters and cases at the forefront of legal developments on the island. Most notably:

  • Representation of B and C [2022] JRC 086: an application for the removal of a protector from a series of trusts with a value of over US$300m. These trusts in turn form part of a global structure that has a value of approximately US$1bn.
  • Advocate B and C v Law Society of Jersey [2022] JRC037: the successful appeal of a sanction imposed on a Jersey advocate by the Disciplinary Committee of the Law Society of Jersey. The first successful appeal of its kind on the island, and one that resulted in a landmark judgment.
  • The successful appeal of an enforcement notice from the Department of Infrastructure, Housing and the Environment which resulted in the enforcement notice being repealed. This was in respect of properties with a collective value of approximately £10m.
  • Re Estate of Constantin Mattas [2022] JRC 237: assisting with successfully securing a ground-breaking order for substituted service on a foreign state in proceedings relating to a will trust

In May 2022 Bradley was shortlisted for the Jersey Finance Rising Star Award, Law category. In September 2023 Bradley commenced his studies to become a Jersey Advocate which is an opportunity rarely afforded to lawyers on the island so early in their career. This is testament to the faith and value placed in him by the Collas Crill partnership.

Background

Bradley graduated from the University of Sussex with a first class honours degree in Law (LLB), and obtained a distinction in the Legal Practice Course which he completed while working for the firm full-time.

Prior to joining the Dispute Resolution team, he gained experience in corporate, commercial and debt finance disputes while working in a transaction management team of an international trust and fund administration company.

In regulatory disputes there are often fine lines between the usual wrangling with the regulator and something more serious – by matching our mix of experienced contentious and non-contentious lawyers to the particular problem at hand, we achieve better and more efficient outcomes. As regulatory experts, we frequently act on contentious matters and can leverage our experience to help clients achieve the highest regulatory standards and avoid common pitfalls.
